Therapy & Psychiatry
Access to psychiatrists, now on InnerHour!
We are always striving hard to provide you with the best quality support.
As part of this endeavour, you can now receive care & support from qualified psychiatrists on our platform.
Moving forward, this section will be the common entry point for therapy and psychiatry services.
Welcome to our provider space
At InnerHour, we offer access to qualified psychiatrists and therapists on our platform. In order to make the most of your experience with our providers, here are some things for you to know:
Your mental health journey with your provider will be collaborative. Do let them know if something is not working in the process.
All important documents related to your treatment will be shared by your healthcare provider on the account you're using right now.
Please make sure that you secure your InnerHour account. We'd recommend that you log out after every session, and log back in each time you want to access your account.
Anyone who is consulting with InnerHour's providers needs to be at least 18 years of age.
Certain concerns may require in-person support. If this is you, don't worry. Your therapist and/or psychiatrist will help you with the next steps.
Currently, InnerHour is not equipped to help with crisis situations. If you need immediate support, please contact your nearest hospital. Your life matters.
If you require technical support or have any questions, please contact us at email@example.com. We will reply to you at the earliest.

Therapy is a safe space for you to talk about what's on your mind. A therapist is a qualified mental health professional who can help you address your mental health concerns through structured talk therapy. Therapists, however, are not equipped to provide you with medication for your concerns.
Reasons to reach out to a therapist
You might benefit from consulting with a therapist if:
- You want to spend time talking about a concern in depth
- You're experiencing problems at work or school
- You are struggling to maintain your relationships
- You no longer enjoy things you used to
- You want to work on self-improvement
Psychiatry is a sector of medicine devoted to the diagnosis and treatment of mental, emotional and behavioural difficulties. A psychiatrist is a medical doctor who is equipped to provide you with medication for your mental health concerns. For more support, your psychiatrist may suggest that you seek therapy.
Reasons to reach out to a psychiatrist
You might benefit from consulting with a psychiatrist if:
- You are experiencing severe or excessive distress
- You feel your emotions are out of control
- Your sleep and/or appetite have been persistently disturbed
- You have a long and complex medical history
- You're unable to go about your daily life
- You are looking for medication support
Which is better or quicker?
Research has repeatedly found that both therapy and psychiatry are effective in the treatment of mental health concerns. In fact, a combination of both - when recommended by a mental health professional - can be best at times. Change, however, is a process that will take time, in both systems. On average, it takes at least 1 month for someone to notice positive differences.
How to approach your mental health journey
Working on yourself is a huge commitment, and we're so proud of you for taking this step. Ups and downs will exist in your journey - but don't worry, your provider will be there with you every step of the way. No matter what you need, InnerHour will be by your side.
